Project Aim: Decrease food insecurity and increase healthy food access by building school pantries and hosting free food markets.

Priority Topic Area: Culture of Health

Goal:

  • All Clackamas County residents have access to healthy food.

Objectives:

  • Increase distribution of produce to food insecure individuals and families.
  • Increase number of food distribution sites in Clackamas County.

Project Highlights:

  • Created food access for 80+ families
  • Built food pantry at Barlow Head Start and Early Head Start sites
  • Opened a Free Food Market
  • Started the construction on a second food pantry at Sandy site
  • Second food pantry in Sandy will serve an additional 60+ families
